Community Exposure
Southwell Rugby Club has been an integral part of the local community for almost 100 years and currently has around 400 playing and social members. At the present time it has three senior, five junior and six mini/midi sides, with the 1 st XV competing in Midlands League 2 East (North).
Under normal circumstances the pitches are in use for training and games four days a week during the season and the quality of the facilities also allows the club to host County and Regional matches at both senior and junior level.
In addition, the clubhouse is also in regular use for private parties, dinners, meetings and other events such as the annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display which attracts over 3,000 people from the local area.
In view of its location on the edge of town adjacent to the Minster School and Southwell Leisure Centre the club enjoys a high level of footfall from members and guests both pitch-side and in the clubhouse. In turn, this provides the sponsors of the on-site advertising with all year round visibility for their businesses and brands.
