Southwell 1st Team

The 1st XV are currently in Midlands 2 East (North) and training takes place from 19:30h to 21:00h on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. If you are new to the club either contact Rick Johnson on 07860 637522 or just turn up on the night. The senior squad is coached by former Wales and British Lions international, Andy Powell.

Southwell 2nd Team

Captain: Luke Brayfield
Team Managers: Jeff Wilson & Adam McQuilkin

The team serves the dual function of providing a good standard of second tier rugby as well as being the club’s development side into which Colts can make the step into senior rugby without being exposed to the rigours sometimes provided by strong 1st team opposition.

The 1s and 2s both train and socialise as a single squad and every effort is made to ensure that squad members get their fair share of game time.

Southwell 3rd Team

Team Managers: Nigel McHale & Alex Hansell

The 3rds are unashamedly committed to social rugby in the best traditions of the game! Everyone is welcome to play regardless of fitness, skill or experience and a sense of humour, combined with a willingness to ‘get stuck in’ are valuable attributes in this side. The side are looking to re-establish regular fixtures for the 2021-22 season under the new captaincy of Tim Brooks.
