Alfie Bust, a farmer’s son from Halam and a member of the U8s group was presented with the Player of the Month award at the club last night by club President, Conrad Hunt.

In explaining why he had been nominated, Conrad said that he was a consistent and reliable performer who trained hard and always listened to his coaches’ advice.

Conrad went on to say that Alfie had shown outstanding improvement during the course of last season and had recently picked up where he left off by running excellent support lines, always on the shoulder of his team mates, and his new-found burst of pace had resulted in some well-deserved tries.

Finally, his sportsmanship and positive attitude was an example to his peers and therefore he was thoroughly deserving winner of the award for the excellent progress he had made in his short rugby career.
